The City of Clearwater contracts with Republic Services for residential refuse and recycling services. Service charges are included on a monthly utility bill. For current rate information, please see the city fee schedule. Commercial customers must contract for their own refuse/recycling services.

Refuse is collected weekly each Thursday. Recycling is collected every other Thursday. Carts must be placed curbside by 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled service date. Holidays may impact your service schedule. Contact City Hall to confirm pick-up day or check your service schedule on Republic Service's website: https://www.republicservices.com/schedule. If your garbage or recycling cans are missed on your scheduled pick up day you can report it to City Hall at 320-558-2428 or after hours to Republic Services at 320-252-9608. For any service changes or billing issues, please contact City Hall at 320-558-2428.

Brush/Compost Pick Up - The city provides a free pick up service for brush & compost on the first Wednesday of each month. BPI-certified compostable bags are required.

City Clean Up Day - Typically scheduled in the fall. All residents may participate. Some charges may apply to tires, appliances or electronics.
