The City Compost Site is a valuable resource for turning yard waste into nutrient rich compost that benefits our entire community. However, we’ve noticed an increase in non-compostable wood materials being dropped off and we need your help to keep the site clean and compliant.

 

 What’s not accepted:

• Treated lumber or painted wood
• Plywood, particle board, or furniture
• Construction or demolition waste
• Branches and Limbs
• Brush and Logs

 

What

is accepted:

• Grass clippings
• Leaves
• Plant compost

 

Improper dumping leads to not only contaminating compost but also leads to increased processing costs for removing the illegal material.
