The City of Clearwater would like to remind city residents of City Code Sec. 14-192 Curb-side compost.  The city operates a curb-side compost program for the benefit of city residents. Pick-up is scheduled for the first Wednesday of every month.

City ordinance requires the use of compostable bags. Starting June 1, 2024, the City of Clearwater will enforce this requirement. The compostable bags must be certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI-certified). It is the responsibility of the resident to purchase the compostable bags. Bags are available to purchase from online or in-store retailers.

Failure to comply with the provision will result in no compost pick-up for that day. Thank you for your cooperation and effort in the elimination of unnecessary waste.
