Winterizing City Parks: Seasonal Preparations Underway

 

As the temperatures begin to drop, the City of Clearwater is getting ready for the winter season. Our Public Works Department is hard at work winterizing our parks to ensure they are protected and ready for the colder months ahead.

Here’s what you’ll notice happening around the city:
• Irrigation Systems: Crews are blowing out irrigation lines and turning off water hookups in all city parks to prevent freezing and damage.
• Volleyball Nets: The volleyball nets at El Dorado Park are being removed and stored until next spring.
• Restroom Closures: Restrooms at Sportsman’s Park will be closed for the season as part of our winterization process.
